New Delhi – The conspiracy of love jihad, which has emerged against the very roots of Hindus across the country, has taken a horrifying form. In the last 24 hours, 9 incidents of ‘love jihad’ have been exposed in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bengal. The report of these 9 incidents is as follows:

1. Uttar Pradesh (4 incidents)

Kanpur – A love jihadi named Arman trapped a 17-year-old Hindu girl. He abducted her along with 2 of his accomplices and kept her confined in his house for 6 days. During this period, the victim was forced to wear a burqa and recite the ‘Kalma’, was fed prohibited meat (most likely beef), and was also burnt with hot tongs. She was also threatened that she would be sold in Saudi Arabia. The Police have arrested Arman and registered a case against his family members.

Auraiya – In Senganpur village of the district, a Muslim woman, who had eloped with a Hindu man named Akash, married him in an Arya Samaj temple. After a complaint by her father, the Police took both of them into custody and produced them before the court. At that time, the woman said that she wanted to go to her family; however, if her Hindu husband accepted Islam, she was ready to live with him. At present, the woman has been handed over to her family.

Hapur – A youth named Hussain from Salai village in the district reached the house of his alleged Hindu girlfriend along with one of his accomplices. After going to her house, he insisted that she marry him. When she opposed this, he threatened to kill her and fired three rounds in the air. Based on the victim’s complaint, the Police have registered a case. The accused are currently absconding.

Lucknow – Irshad Ahmed, who lives in the Ashiyana area of Lucknow, trapped a Hindu young woman through Instagram in 2022 by introducing himself as ‘Rahul’. He established physical relations with her and took obscene photographs of her. Later, after she threatened to complain to the Police, he pretended to marry her in a temple. After some time, the victim came to know his real identity and also learnt that he was already married. When she questioned him, he threatened her using the obscene photographs, extorted thousands of rupees and pressured her to convert. The Police have arrested Irshad Ahmed.

2. Madhya Pradesh (4 incidents)

Jabalpur – A youth named Syed Ishaq Asrar pretended to be a dentist named ‘Rajkumar’. Through this, he lured 3 Hindu women in his trap. Among the three, a victim from Kolkata, fed up with his harassment, filed a complaint with the Police. The VHP has demanded action against Syed.

In another incident in Jabalpur, a person named Nek Ali Khan befriended a Hindu woman through Facebook by pretending to be ‘Ankit’. He sexually exploited her and, promising marriage, lived with her in a ‘live-in relationship’ (a woman and a man living together without marriage). The victim has alleged that he pressured her to accept Islam, fed her beef and tried to take her to Mumbai and sell her for ₹5 lakh. Somehow escaping from there, she filed a complaint with the Jabalpur Police with the help of the Hindu Dharma Sena. The Police have registered a case and started an enquiry into the matter.

3. Bengal (1 incident)

North 24 Parganas – The Police arrested Azmir Mandal in connection with abetting the suicide of a minor Hindu girl at Gopinathpur in Gopalnagar of Bangaon city in the district. This action was taken after the victim’s family accused the youth Azmir of murder. BJP MLA Swapan Majumdar met the victim’s family on 28th June and expressed suspicion that this was a case of ‘love jihad’. This victim, who was studying in Class 8, was in a relationship with Azmir. Later, she ended the relationship with him; however, Azmir was not ready to accept this. He kept threatening her constantly. Due to this, she was under immense mental stress. Finally, on 26th June, she committed suicide by hanging herself.

Editorial Perspective

To stop such incidents, along with making a nationwide anti-love jihad law, the ideology that encourages people to hatch this conspiracy should be curbed. Otherwise, it should not be surprising if India becomes the ‘Islamic Republic of India’ within a few decades!
