Action will continue until the killing of Christians stops : Trump warns

Washington (USA) – The United States carried out airstrikes on Islamic State bases in Nigeria on the night of December 25th in response to the killings of Christians. US President Donald Trump warned that if the killings of Christians continue like this, the number of dead terrorists will continue to increase.
Trump said that, at my order, the United States has launched a powerful and deadly attack on Islamic State terrorists in northwestern Nigeria. These terrorists have been targeting and brutally killing innocent Christians for years and centuries. I have already warned these terrorists that if they do not stop the massacre of Christians, they will pay a heavy price, and that is what happened tonight. The military carried out the most precise strikes that only America can do. Under my leadership, our country will never allow radical Islamic terrorism to grow. May God bless our troops and Merry Christmas to all and to the fallen terrorists.

It’s not just Christians who are being attacked : Nigerian Government
The Nigerian Government has said that armed groups are targeting both Muslims and Christians. Trump’s claim that “Christians are being persecuted” is complex, does not reflect the security situation, and ignores efforts to protect religious freedom. However, we have demonstrated our commitment to working with the United States to strengthen our military against terrorist groups.
7,000 Christians have been killed earlier
According to a report by the ‘International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law’, more than 7,000 Christians have been killed in Nigeria due to increased religious violence from January to August 10th this year. Terrorist organizations like ‘Boko Haram’ and ‘Fulani’ are responsible for these killings.
Trump had already warned earlier
President Trump said on November 2nd, “If the killings and attacks on Christians in Nigeria do not stop, the United States will immediately stop all financial and military assistance to the Nigerian Government. And if necessary, the United States will take action in Nigeria, including with guns. We will eliminate the terrorists who attack Christians.” The War Department has been ordered to prepare for possible military action.
