The case of realtor K Raghunath’s mysterious death in Bangalore

Former Andhra Pradesh MP’s son and daughter, and the Police Deputy Superintendent, were arrested

Bangalore (Karnataka) – More than six years after the mysterious death of realtor K Raghunath in Bengaluru, the CBI on Monday arrested former MP DK Adikesavulu Naidu’s son DA Srinivas, daughter DA Kalpaja, along with Karnataka’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) SY Mohan in connection with the case. It is being said that the murder happened because of a property dispute.

1. K Raghunath was known to be a close associate of Former MP Naidu. In 2019, his dead body was found in a guesthouse in Whitefield. Initially, it was presumed to be a case of suicide, but later his wife and son expressed their doubts about this and demanded an inquiry.

2. ‘CBI’ said that the accused have been arrested under serious crimes like conspiracy, cheating, destroying evidence and fabricating evidence, etc.

3. In 2022 investigation was handed over to the CBI as per the orders of the Karnataka High Court. Later, the Supreme Court also approved the investigation being handed over to the CBI.

4. ‘CBI’ in its investigation found that K. Raghunath was confined in a guest house for two days and, after being killed, efforts were made to portray the death as a suicide.

5. All the accused have been sent to judicial custody till 29 December 2025. The CBI is continuing the investigation in this matter.
