Mumbai: In protest against the brutal killing of Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu youth, by a mob of radical Muslims in Bangladesh, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad will organize protests in India as well as in several countries across the world. In this regard, on 23 December, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal will hold a protest in Mumbai front of the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Mumbai. This was stated by Mr. Alok Kumar, Central President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), at a press conference held at the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh on 22 December.

On this occasion, Mr. Ajay Sankhe, President of VHP Konkan Prant; Mr. Shriraj Nair, National Spokesperson; and Mr. Mohan Salekar, Minister of Konkan Prant, were present.

Mr. Alok Kumar stated that in countries where the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is active, the local Hindu community will also participate in these protests.

“Why are the intellectuals who show sympathy towards Muslims, silent on the killing of Dipu Chandra Das?” – Alok Kumar

The Dipu Chandra Das’s clothes were torn, he was dragged away, and he was burnt by the mob.

Some sections of the media had reported that he had committed blasphemy; however, in his messages on social media, Dipu Chandra Das had stated that “all religions are equal.” Religious extremists perceived this as an insult to Islam. This incident exposes the violent and brutal face of jihad.

We had expected that those who constantly champion secularism in India would speak out on this issue; however, they have remained silent. This so-called intellectual class is biased against Hindus. When Hindus were driven out of Kashmir, they did not consider it a violation of humanity; but when anything concerning Muslims is mentioned, these people become overly sensitive. Had a terrorist been killed, they would have raised their voices.

After the killing of Sharif Usman Hadi, who had prepared and promoted a “Greater Bangladesh” map showing India’s northeastern states, Bengal, and parts of eastern India as part of Bangladesh, Bangladesh’s President Muhammad Yunus accorded him a funeral with political honours. This is condemnable.
