Chennai (Tamil Nadu) – At present, temple administration in the country is managed by the government. This system should be changed, and temple management should instead be entrusted to devotees. Some temples are well managed by private individuals, while others are not. Similarly, some temples are well administered by the government, while others are not.
Currently, a proper organizational mechanism is required to manage temples effectively. To address this issue, there should be an All-India committee, state-level committees, district committees, and local committees. Once such a structured system is established, all questions regarding whether temples should be managed by devotees instead of the government will be resolved.
These views were expressed by Pujya Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat while addressing a gathering at an event here.
