1. The Bharatiya Janata Party quickly latched onto Navjot Kaur’s statement, calling it proof of “institutionalised corruption” within Congress. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi alleged that her remark shows corruption “from leaders to cadres” has consumed the Congress.
2. Congress MP and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that, “Navjot Kaur’s husband, Navjot Singh Sidhu, is himself trying to ruin the party, and now Navjot Kaur is assisting him in doing so”.
3. Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab General Secretary Baltej Pannu said that, “Navjot Kaur has exposed the misdeeds within the Congress. Her statement makes it clear how the Congress actually works. It also reveals how leadership is decided within the Congress. According to him, for Congress leaders, their party, money and personal gains are more important than Punjab”.
