“The world should consider the protection of religious heritage sites as its responsibility”: Dr Tahir Andrabi

Pakistan’s outcry over Babri

Tahir Andrabi

Islamabad (Pakistan) – “The global community must accept collective responsibility for preserving religious heritage and sacred sites. The Babri Masjid too was an important heritage structure. After its demolition, Indian Muslims feel isolated and insecure. Emotionally, they have endured immense distress, and their situation remains concerning even today,” Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Dr Tahir Andrabi said, issuing unwarranted remarks regarding the Babri matter. (If Indian Muslims truly feel that way, they are free to move to Pakistan for their safety—after all, India was partitioned on religious grounds and Pakistan was created specifically for Muslims! – Editor)

Tahir Andrabi urged the United Nations to recognise the need to preserve Islamic religious heritage and ensure that incidents such as the demolition of the Babri Masjid are not repeated in the future.

“The first brick of the new Babri Masjid in Ayodhya will be laid by the Pakistan Army”; Pakistani senator Palwasha Khan daydreams

Palwasha Zai Khan

Pakistan People’s Party senator Palwasha Zai Khan claimed in Pakistan’s parliament that the first brick of the new Babri Masjid to be built in Ayodhya will be laid by the Pakistani Army, and the first Azaan will be given by Army Chief Asim Munir. We are not weak-willed women wearing bangles! (One imagines the world laughing at such claims from a country repeatedly defeated in war by India! – Editor) She further asserted that Sikh soldiers in India would never attack Pakistan, as Pakistan is the land of Guru Nanak Dev. (Evidently Khan is unaware that Sikh soldiers and officers have displayed extraordinary bravery in wars against Pakistan. This reflects sheer intellectual bankruptcy! In reality, if anything, Sikh soldiers may one day enter Pakistan, liberate this land from its current control, and unite it with India! – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

Over the past 78 years, how many temples in Pakistan have been demolished and converted into mosques? How many churches and gurdwaras have suffered the same fate? The world should hold Pakistan accountable for that as well and demand answers!
