New York (USA) – “My wife, Shivon Zilis, is partly Indian. My son’s name ‘Shekar’ is also inspired by Nobel Prize–winning astrophysicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar,” famous American industrialist Elon Musk revealed. He shared this information during an interview with Nikhil Kamath. Musk’s wife, Shivon Zilis, is a technology expert. She has been serving as a Director at Neuralink since 2017.

When asked whether Shivon Zilis had ever lived in India, Musk said, “She was adopted when she was a baby. She grew up in Canada. Her father was likely of Indian origin; therefore, half of her heritage is Indian.”

America has greatly benefited from Indian talent

Musk added that the United States has gained enormously due to Indian talent. However, this trend now appears to be reversing. According to Musk, changing visa policies and an uncertain immigration environment are making things increasingly difficult. Due to new restrictions and unpredictable regulations, thousands of Indians are finding it harder to achieve the “American dream.” Although some companies have misused the system, the H-1B visa should not be discontinued. Highly skilled Indian workers have made significant contributions to America’s innovation sector.
