Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s third visit to India cancelled

Consequences of the Delhi bomb blast

New Delhi – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has cancelled his visit to India for the third time. He was scheduled to visit India in December. It is being said that he has cancelled the visit due to security reasons in the wake of the bomb blast in Delhi; however, new dates are being sought for the visit next year. Netanyahu had previously visited India in 2018.

Netanyahu’s visit was seen as a key step in showcasing his global stature. His party had tried to present him as a “leader of unique stature” in July by putting up posters of him alongside Prime Minister Modi, Trump and Putin.
