FIR registered in Kerala against a woman and her partner

Case of a 16-year-old being encouraged to join the Islamic State

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – Kerala Police have registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against a Muslim woman and her live-in partner. They are accused of encouraging the woman’s 16-year-old son to join the terrorist organisation Islamic State.

The woman’s husband’s family has alleged that her partner, who lives in the UK, used to show the boy Islamic State videos and motivate him to join the extremist outfit. The accused woman has rejected all allegations, saying, “My husband and in-laws have dragged me into this due to marital disputes.” Police are conducting further investigation.
