Washington (USA) – While the whole world has seen that India taught Pakistan a lesson through ‘Operation Sindoor’ after the attack by Jihadi terrorists in Pahalgam, the anti-India ‘US-China Economic and Security Review Commission’ (USSC) has released an 800-page report claiming Pakistan’s military success in the conflict. It also says that ‘the attack in Pahalgam was not a terrorist attack but an attack by insurgents’. There has been no official response from the Indian Government on this yet.
Other claims in the report
1. 3 Indian planes shot down
The report states that Pakistan has claimed to have shot down at least 6 Indian fighter jets, including Rafale jets, which has tarnished the image of Rafale; however, in reality, only 3 Indian jets have been shot down.
2. Pakistan received confidential information from China
Pakistan used weapons supplied by China in this war. Pakistan used China’s HQ-9 air defence system, PL-15 missiles, and J-10 fighter jets.
China used this war to test its modern weapons in direct combat and showcase them to the world. After this war, Chinese embassies around the world praised their guns and said that Pakistan had used them to shoot down Indian fighter jets. After 5 months of this war, China had signed a deal to sell 42 J-10C fighter jets to Indonesia for 75,000 crore INR.
China questions the report
The Global Times, a mouthpiece of the Chinese Government, has questioned the report. It says that the USCC has once again portrayed China’s economic, technological and security progress as a threat to the world. The report is written for political purposes and does not provide a completely impartial analysis of the facts. The commission harbours deep-rooted misunderstandings and arrogance about China. The US needs to understand China better.
