Turkey signs ₹7,000-crore defence deal with Pakistan

New Delhi – Following India’s Operation Sindoor, Turkey has continued to assist Pakistan through various means. Turkey has now signed a defence agreement worth ₹7,000 crore with Pakistan. Not only Turkey, but several Islamic nations are extending support to Pakistan in different ways. Pakistan currently enjoys backing from Islamic countries such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Jordan. Experts believe that if India launches a major strike against Pakistan in the future, these nations may provide significant assistance to Pakistan.

Pakistan’s efforts to unite Islamic nations

India’s rapid progress in recent years has reportedly unsettled several neighbouring Muslim-majority countries, prompting efforts to create challenges for India. In this context, Pakistan is trying to bring certain Muslim nations together to orchestrate a major strategy against India. Recently, around 60 Islamic countries gathered in Qatar for an emergency summit against Israel. During this summit, Pakistan and Egypt proposed forming a joint Islamic military force. Following Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has been working to unite Islamic nations, a move experts believe is intended to be used strategically against India.

Editorial Perspective

Turkey had assisted Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. Turkey’s name also surfaced in connection with the Delhi bomb blast case. Considering Turkey’s growing anti-India activities, it should be dealt with in a language that it understands, similar to Pakistan.
