Chikkaballapur (Karnataka) – A case was registered against three accused for allegedly defrauding an industrialist of ₹89 lakh during a maize purchase deal. An audio clip of a phone conversation between Congress Minister Zameer Ahmed and a police sub-inspector regarding the case has gone viral on social media. In the recording, Minister Ahmed is reportedly heard asking the police to release the accused.
Industrialist Ramakrishna had filed a complaint against Nasir, Abdul Razak, and Akbar Pasha for financial fraud. Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Peresandra Police Station.
In a phone call with Sub-Inspector Jagadish of Peresandra Police Station, Minister Zameer Ahmed allegedly said, “They (the accused) are very close to me, so please help them and release them.” In response, the sub-inspector suggested calling both parties to the police station and resolving the matter amicably.
