Incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) – The Women’s Cricket World Cup is currently underway in India, and the Australian women’s cricket team had arrived in Indore for one of their matches. While two players were traveling from the Hotel Radisson Blu, a religious fanatic person on a two- wheeler harassed and molested them on the road. The incident left both players shocked and frightened, and they immediately informed the security personnel. Acting on a complaint filed by security officer Danny Simmons, the Police registered a case and arrested the accused, Akil Khan. The incident took place on the morning of 23rd October on Khajrana Road in Indore.

According to reports, the two Australian women cricketers were on their way to The Neighbourhood Café when a man wearing a white shirt and black cap followed them on his bike. He approached them at high speed and inappropriately touched one of the players.

Editorial Perspective

The actions of such religious fanatic and lust-driven individuals bring shame to the nation on the international stage. If someone demands that such an accused be punished under Sharia law — by having his hands and legs broken — it would not be surprising !
