“With the help of Chinese weapons, we shot down seven Indian fighter jets !” : Pak Army

Pakistan army spokesperson’s shameless claim on ‘Operation Sindoor’

Islamabad (Pakistan) – During the May conflict with India (during Operation Sindoor), Chinese technology performed exceptionally well, claimed a spokesperson of the Pakistan army. “Pakistan shot down seven Indian fighter jets, while India failed to destroy even a single Pakistani aircraft. We make no distinction between Chinese and Western weaponry, but in this operation, Chinese weapons delivered superior performance,” he said.

In reality, Pakistan used Chinese-made PL-15 and HQ-9P missiles, along with JF-17 and J-10 fighter jets. India’s indigenously developed BrahMos and Aakash Teer missiles completely neutralised these Chinese weapons. On 9 May, debris from a Chinese PL-15E missile was found in a field in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. On 12 May, the Indian Air Force held a press conference and publicly displayed the remnants of that missile for the first time.

Editorial Perspective

Pakistan’s habit of lying through its teeth is truly pitiable. Even when making baseless claims, it cannot hide its dependency on Chinese crutches — exposing both its false pride and its helplessness before the world.
