New Delhi – Recently, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed a message in three languages – Arabic, English, and Hebrew – demonstrating that India takes the Palestine issue seriously. India was among the first countries to recognize Palestine. India stood with us yesterday, stands with us today, and will continue to do so tomorrow. As the world’s largest democracy, India’s role is extremely significant, said Palestine’s Ambassador to India, Abdullah Abu Shawesh.

He was speaking while reacting to the 20-point plan put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war between Israel and Hamas. Shawesh praised India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the support extended to Palestine.

Expectations from India

Ambassador Shawesh said that the entire world listens to India’s voice. When India stands with us, its message resonates across the entire Middle East. We believe that India will continue to play its part in the peace process in the future.
