Many Policemen assaulted

London (UK) – Following the public outcry in Nepal and France, a similar outcry was seen in London on September 13th. More than one lakh nationalist British citizens protested against immigrants here. A few Policemen were assaulted during this protest. The protest, called the ‘Unite the Kingdom March’, was led by anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson. A counter-protest called ‘Stand Up to Racism’ was also held alongside this protest. An estimated 5,000 people participated in this. Police had to intervene several times throughout the day to prevent clashes between the two groups.
Demand to expel all infiltrators and immigrantsThe lakhs of people who gathered at this rally demanded that the British Government expel all infiltrators and immigrants from the country. Robinson’s huge rally was marked by banners expressing concern about Islamic terrorism. He demanded that the Government take immediate action, citing the increased crime rate in the country. 1. According to the Police, several Police officers were assaulted during the protest. After this, a large-scale security operation was carried out to maintain law and order. 2. Protests were held outside hotels hosting migrants. Participants waved the British flag and the red and white St. George’s Cross. Some protesters also held the American and Israeli flags. 3. Several slogans criticising Prime Minister Keir Starmer were also raised. Some held signs that read ‘Send them home’. 4. Tommy Robinson called the march a ‘celebration of freedom of expression’. 5. So far this year, more than 28,000 migrants have crossed the English Channel into Britain in small boats. |
Need to overthrow the Labour Government: Elon Musk
Famous American businessman Elon Musk, while addressing the protest online, said, “I think it is necessary to overthrow the Labour Government led by Keir Starmer now. You don’t have time to wait 4 years. There is still a lot of time until the next election, but something has to happen before that. Parliament should be dissolved, and a new vote should be held.”
Editorial PerspectiveIn London, citizens take to the streets to protest against a few lakh immigrants, while in India, when there are crores of illegal infiltrators, no one takes to the streets, nor does the Government drive them out on a war footing. |
