Magnitude 7.4 earthquake strikes near east coast of Russia

Moscow, Russia – On 13 th September Russia’s eastern coast of Kamchatka island was hit by earthquake at 2.37 a.m. United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded 7.4 magnitude of the earthquake on Richter scale. The epicentre was approximately 111 km. in the east of Kamchatka city in northern Pacific Ocean. Authorities from various areas in the regions of Pacific Ocean are keeping a keen eye on the situation. They have alerted the residents of sensitive areas. Earlier In July there was an earthquake of magnitude 8.8 Richter scale.
