Mahad (Raigad district) – Mayur Mahadik, a youth living in Karanjkhol area, was promptly arrested by the Police on the alleged grounds of posting a ‘status’ about the Quran. A large crowd of religious fanatics had gathered in this area. A huge contingent of Police had come here to disperse the crowd. The crowd also went to the Mahad city Police station. Due to which a tense situation was created. Mahad Police took out a ‘march’ from the city’s mohalla and surroundings. Due to this, a case has been promptly registered against the person concerned. In this case, the complainant, Ahmed Patel, filed a complaint.
