They say it is an insult to those who sacrificed their lives in the Pahalgam attack

Kanpur, UP – The family of Shubham Dwivedi, a businessman who was killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack, has strongly opposed the India-Pakistan cricket match. “Playing cricket with Pakistan is an insult to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack. This match is anti-national,” said Shubham Dwivedi’s wife, Aishanya. ‘The BCCI was expected to refuse to allow the match between India and Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India forgot the sacrifices in Pahalgam within a few months,’ said Aishanya.
Shubham’s father, Sanjay Dwivedi, said, “It is unfortunate to play cricket with a country whose terrorists shot our son after asking him about his religion.” Shubham’s uncle, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, said, “We request all citizens to boycott the match with Pakistan.”
Editorial PerspectiveSports are played between friends. Wars are fought between enemies. Pakistan is India’s enemy. Therefore, playing cricket with them is not in the national interest. Indians need to rebuke the Board of Control for Cricket in India for approving the India-Pakistan match. |
