Israel launches airstrikes on Hamas leaders in Qatar !

Doha (Qatar) – On the evening of September 9th , Israel carried out an airstrike in the Qatari capital, Doha, targeting Hamas leadership. Qatar has been a key mediator in the Gaza ceasefire talks. The Israeli military struck a residential area in Doha where Hamas leaders were believed to be residing.Qatar condemned the attack, describing it as a “cowardly Israeli strike on Hamas’s political headquarters.” On the other hand, Israel’s former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett defended the move, calling it “a step taken purely in self-defence.” Reports suggest that at least 1,000 Hamas members reside in Qatar.

First-ever Israeli strike on US ally Qatar

1. This marks the first time Israel has directly targeted Qatar. Despite being a US ally and hosting a major American military base, Qatar had long believed itself safe from any Israeli strike.

2. Hamas claimed that its senior political leaders survived the Doha attack. However, Qatar’s Interior Ministry confirmed that at least 6 people were killed in the strike.3.
