V-Dem’s report ranking Nepal’s democracy above Indian democracy exposed

V-Dem is funded by George Soros, a staunch anti-India American billionaire and head of the ‘Deep State’

Kathmandu (Nepal) – Amid the ongoing violent protests in Nepal, a report from the year 2025 by the ‘V-Dem’ research institute, funded by the hardline anti-India and American billionaire George Soros, has come into the spotlight again. This report was based on the state of democracy in various countries of the world. In this, Nepal was ranked in the ‘Electoral Democracy’ category. The irony is that India was shown to be much lower than Nepal in this list. As the world is watching the democracy in Nepal being crushed into pieces, a big question mark is now being raised on the credibility of this report.

1. V-Dem is an organization from the European country of Sweden that ranks countries around the world based on their democratic standards. Information is collected based on more than 600 democratic criteria, such as freedom of expression, electoral processes, and institutional transparency.

2. The organization’s report placed Nepal in ‘Level-2’ (second category), while India was placed in ‘Level-3’ (third category) countries. Democracies in this category were called ‘electoral autocracy’ by V-Dem.

This is an attempt to set the narrative : Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister

Sanjeev Sanyal

After this came to light, Sanjeev Sanyal, a member of Prime Minister Modi’s Economic Advisory Council and author, has said that such global rankings are deliberately used to create a narrative, control it, and, in recent times, train ‘AI’.

Editorial Perspective

This shows the falsehood of the reports being made at the global level. Indians should realize that all these reports are anti-India, and their aim is to create anarchy in India.
