The attack on the immersion procession in Madduru was pre-planned : Karnataka Home Minister

Madduru has become ‘mini Pakistan’ : Local Hindus allege

Karnataka’s Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar

Madduru (Karnataka) – A riot broke out when Muslims pelted stones at a Ganeshotsav procession passing near a mosque. So far, 22 rioting Muslims have been arrested and remanded in judicial custody. Reacting to this, state Home Minister G. Parameshwara said that information has been received that the stone-pelting incident was pre-planned. The Police will investigate the matter and take appropriate action. Shivamogga District Guardian Minister N. Cheluvaraya Swamy also said that a high-level inquiry will be conducted into the matter. It has also been reported that electricity was also switched off during the procession. On the surface, this incident appears to have been pre-planned, he said.

It was a blunder to elect Congress in the State : Jyoti, a Hindu woman who was assaulted by Police

After the attack on the procession on September 7th, Hindus staged a protest on September 8th. The Police lathi-charged Hindus during the protest. A video has surfaced wherein a Police constable also lathi-charged a Hindu woman named Jyoti. Jyoti expressed her anger and said, “We elected Congress because of the ‘Guarantee of Rs. 2,000’ scheme.” (The Karnataka government gives Rs. 2,000 per month to people below the poverty line.) “This was our big mistake.”

Jyoti further said that Muslims asked to remove the saffron flag and immerse the idols quickly. Despite adhering to all this, we are not allowed to live in peace. Muslims can walk in front of our temple, dance; but we do not have that right. In the riots not only the people, but also the Police have been attacked. Our area has become a ‘mini Pakistan’. We are not even allowed to walk in front of the mosque. At night, the youth here are seen with swords and sticks in their hands. We are living in fear.

NIA should investigate the incident : Demand of devout Hindus

Bengaluru-based Hindutva leader Tejas Gowda said that last year, a petrol bomb was thrown during the immersion procession in Nagamangala in Mandya District. This year too, an attempt was made to scare Hindus by throwing stones during the procession in Madduru town of the District. The Union Home Department should immediately intervene and investigate this incident through the National Investigation Agency.

Editorial Perspective

Why didn’t the Police and intelligence agencies come to know about this conspiracy in advance ? Or did the Congress Government order them to remain inactive about it even after knowing ?
