‘Islam Zindabad’ scribbled on saffron flag during Eid procession in Khandwa

Taliban flags raised, Pakistani military song played

Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) – Hindu religious sentiments were hurt during the Eid procession taken out on 5.9.2025 in the city. The slogan ‘Islam Zindabad’ was written on a saffron flag, and Taliban flags were also seen being waved. Videos of the incident have surfaced. Hindu organisations have expressed strong objections. The Police have registered a case against three unidentified individuals.

Serious allegations by Hindu organisations

1. The name of the Kalyanganj locality was written as ‘Kallanaliganj’
2. Firecrackers were burst near Ganesh Mandals
3. Pakistani military song was played during the procession
4. A saffron flag installed at Jalebi Chowk was removed and thrown away
