
New York (USA) – At the United Nations, India reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s position that “this is not an era of war.” India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, stated that India is deeply concerned about the situation in Ukraine.

He emphasized that the loss of innocent lives is unacceptable and reiterated India’s firm belief that no solution can be found on the battlefield. No matter how complex the conflict in Ukraine may appear, it can only be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic efforts — a point India has consistently stressed.

India also appreciated last month’s meetings — the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, as well as the meetings in Washington between President Zelensky, Trump, and European leaders.
