Indore (MP) – In Chandan Nagar area, Indore, a local Muslim corporator Fatima Khan has changed the names of the alleys and roads without Administration’s permission. These names denote Islam. When BJP protested, the mayor of the city ordered to remove the boards.

Earlier Mishrawala road, renamed Khwaja Road, Loha gate renamed Raza Gate and Aamwala Road renamed Husaini road. When this came to light on the social media, people reacted, which was considered by the Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav. He immediately directed action against the responsible individuals and removal of the boards. He has also ordered investigation into this matter.

Editorial Perspectives

• Such changes are not allowed without administration’s permission, yet the Muslim corporator does it in an autocratic way. It is a threat to Hindus’ existence.

• In contrast, can a Hindu corporator can even think of changing Muslim names of the roads to Hindu names in Muslim majority area !
