Pune – Speaking at an event organized at SNDT University Auditorium in Erandwane, Pune, on the topic “Overcoming the Naxal Challenge in Chhattisgarh: Policy, Vision, and Implementation”, Sharma made the serious accusation.

He presented videos explaining “How Maoism from Beijing was nurtured into Naxalism in Bastar” and narrated the historical link between China’s Beijing and the spread of Maoist influence in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district.

Sharma also revealed the modus operandi of Naxalites, detailing how they operated in the region for decades. He highlighted how, since the BJP government came to power at the Centre, Naxalism has been significantly weakened and the “Bastar Model” has emerged as an effective approach nationwide.

He displayed graphic evidence of the brutal killings of villagers carried out by Naxalites in Bastar over the years.

Campaign to Eradicate Naxalism by 2026 Sharma declared
