Russia bombs 143 Ukrainian military bases

Moscow (Russia) – U.S. President Donald Trump is making efforts to mediate between Russia and Ukraine to establish a permanent ceasefire. Despite discussions with the heads of both nations to resolve the deadlock, the war shows no signs of stopping. Russia has launched fresh attacks on Ukraine and claimed to have taken control of two villages in the Donetsk region.

On August 23, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces had captured the villages of Seredne and Kleban Byk in the Donetsk region. According to the statement, the villages came under Russian control following joint operations by the Southern and Western military groups. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out bomb attacks on 143 Ukrainian military industrial complexes and bases.

Russia has claimed that its air defense system recently intercepted Ukrainian aerial attacks, shooting down 4 aerial bombs and 160 drones launched by Ukraine.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while expressing his willingness to end the war, accused Russia of adopting a strategy of prolonging the conflict instead of moving forward with peace talks.

Trump warns of new sanctions if war doesn’t end within two weeks !

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Russia, stating that if no peaceful resolution to the war is reached within the next two weeks, the United States will impose new sanctions on Russia.

In response, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that no concrete agenda has yet been finalized for a possible summit between Putin and Zelenskyy. He also accused Zelenskyy of “rejecting every proposal.”
