The Education Minister admits the mistake and informs about the rectification being made in the book

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – A school textbook in the state of Kerala claimed that freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose fled to Germany, fearing the British. The Kerala government has admitted the mistake and claimed that it has been rectified. The error was revealed in a book (‘Teachers Handbook’) given to class IV teachers. After opposition parties questioned the government, Kerala Education Minister V.K. Sivankatti admitted the mistake. He promised action against the board members who made the book. He also announced that they would not be part of the board in the future.
Books that reached the market or were distributed to school teachers have been recalled, while the revised, republished books will be delivered soon. The education minister also informed that the book, which is available online, has been changed.
