Pune, August 18 – A 19-year-old Hindu student from Warje Malwadi has lodged a police complaint against a gym trainer.

According to her statement, she joined Okinawa Gym in Pune on the recommendation of her friend, Shifa Shaikh. However, there, the gym owner and trainer Jameel Khan allegedly molested her repeatedly under the pretext of training, making obscene physical contact.

The complainant further stated that Jameel Khan pressured her to stay at the gym and told her, “Islam is the superior religion, you will have to convert.” Disturbed by his behavior, she quit the gym. She also alleged that Jameel continued to harass her through persistent phone calls afterwards.

The incidents reportedly took place between July 1, 2024, and July 7, 2025.

The student has filed a complaint at Samarth Police Station, and further investigation is underway.

This incident in Warje, Pune, reminds one of the storyline from the film ‘The Kerala Story.’ Just as in the movie, Hindu girls are first befriended, then trapped under the guise of love or help, and later pushed toward conversion—something very similar has happened here.
