Shiv Sena leader and former MP Sanjay Nirupam alleges : Housing jihad’ exists in Mumbai’s real estate sector

  • Allotment of houses only to Muslims in Jogeshwari!

  •  Fear that Hindu-majority areas are turning Muslim-majority

Mumbai – Shiv Sena leader and former MP Sanjay Nirupam has alleged that ‘housing jihad’ exists in Mumbai’s real estate sector. He claimed that, through collusion between Muslim builders and corrupt officials, houses in Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) projects are being systematically allotted only to Muslims. As a result, Hindu-majority areas are becoming Muslim-majority. (Such a change is indeed dangerous for the existence of Hindus! In the future, if Mumbai becomes Muslim-majority, it should not be surprising – Editor)

Nirupam made this allegation in connection with projects such as Shri Shankar SRA Project in Oshiwara and Oshiwara Paradise 1 and 2 (Jogeshwari West).

1.  The number of houses in ‘Oshiwara Paradise 1 and 2’ (Jogeshwari West) was increased from 44 to 95, and in ‘Shri Shankar SRA Project’ from 67 to 123.

2.   Many Muslim applicants were allotted additional units, with some individuals receiving more than one unit under the same name; a violation of SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) rules.

3.   This is not just a building project but a demographic plan. Extra houses are being built through corruption and handed over to Muslims.

4.   In Shri Shankar Society, there were 6 Muslim families earlier; by the time the project is completed, there will be over 60 Muslim families.

Builder Anees Chandiwala responded, “Sanjay Nirupam’s allegations are baseless and misleading. We do not ask any customer’s religion. The term ‘housing jihad’ never existed earlier and does not exist now.”

₹100 crore defamation case filed against Sanjay Nirupam

Chandiwala’s lawyer Ritesh Singh said, “A ₹100 crore defamation case has been filed against Sanjay Nirupam in the Bombay High Court over misleading and false allegations. The hearing will be held soon.”

Sanjay Nirupam’s letter to the Deputy Chief Minister

Accusing that the entire matter involves a ₹600 crore scam and the illegal sale of 220 flats, Sanjay Nirupam has written to Deputy Chief Minister and Housing Minister Eknath Shinde demanding an inquiry into the matter.
