Also clarified that religion and society are complementary

Nagpur – The reason there is ongoing conflict in the world is that people do not know how to live life. Environmental degradation is happening. Therefore, the whole world needs Hinduism. Hinduism is Manav Dharma (human religion) and should be accepted by the world. The religion that serves society and the nation is the true religion, and if we set such an ideal before the world, everyone will accept it. Then there will be no need for religious scriptures, said Param Pujya Dr Mohanji Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He was speaking at the inauguration of the new office of the Dharma Jagaran Nyas.
He further said:
- The work of religion is always sacred. Religion is truth. Just as gravity exists but is unseen, so is Hinduism.
- Those who lose hope in life abandon the path of religion, but those with courage never tire of working for their faith.
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj faced numerous challenges in life; yet, by drawing on his strength and wisdom, he fulfilled his duties. Hinduism is a religion that embraces all diversities, so its awakening should happen in every heart.
- Only through Dharma Jagaran (religious awakening) can we present to the world the ideal of Manav Dharma—that is, Hinduism. This will show the world that Hinduism works for the welfare of society and the nation.
- The work of religion is not only for God, but also for society. If faith is good, society will remain good.
It was because of unwavering devotion to Dharma that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj could sacrifice his life for it
There must be dedication to religion in a person’s heart. In our country, countless people have sacrificed their lives for religion. Many were beheaded, yet they never abandoned their faith. Everyone has seen the film Chhava. It was because of their fervent loyalty to Dharma that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj could make the ultimate sacrifice. With the firm belief that “Our Dharma is based on truth”, he gave his life to protect it, Param Pujya Dr Bhagwat added.
