Malegaon bomb blast happened a month after Sharad Pawar used the term ‘Hindu terrorism’ : Lt. Col. Prasad Purohit

Serious allegations in the written statement of Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit in the Court

Mumbai – In 2008, NCP’s Sharad Pawar used the term ‘Hindu terrorism’ during a vehicle rally. A month later, the Malegaon bomb blast incident took place. Then, Colonel Srivastava contacted me and called me to the Panchmarhi headquarters in Madhya Pradesh. There, my mobile phone was seized. I was taken to Bhopal. At the airport, I realized that my ticket was for Mumbai instead of Delhi. I could not inform my family about this as I did not have a mobile phone. Colonel Srivastava was working as an ‘agent’ for the Anti-Terrorism Squad.

I was forcibly put in a four-wheeler and taken to a bungalow in Khandala. The then Police officers Param Bir Singh and Hemant Karkare were already present there. In this way, I was betrayed, said Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit, who was acquitted in the Malegaon bomb blast case. He mentioned this information in his statement submitted in the Court.

When asked about ‘Hindu terrorism’ term used by Sharad Pawar, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said, “It has been 20 years since this incident. I don’t remember it now.” (Politicians don’t remember things that may put them in trouble – Editor)

Param Bir Singh refuses to comment

“The allegations made by Sadhvi Pragya Singh are serious. She was assaulted by the then Police officers including Hemant Karkare and Param Bir Singh,” a news channel reported. When contacted, Param Bir Singh refused to comment. Ramesh Kulkarni, who is mentioned in the allegations, did not pick up the call, and Sachin Kadam could not be contacted.

Supriya Sule, the leader of NCP (SP), said, “I don’t remember Sharad Pawar using the term ‘Hindu terrorism’. I haven’t read any news about it in the media anywhere.” (Supriya Sule is lying blatantly – Editor).

Editorial Perspective

Now people may think that Sharad Pawar may have some connection with the Malegaon bomb blast case.  Therefore, the Government must investigate this aspect as well.
