Pakistan supports Iran’s nuclear weapons program

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan has declared its support for Iran’s nuclear weapons development. Iranian President Masoud Pazakhstani made the statement during his visit to Pakistan. “Pakistan stands by Iran’s goal of achieving peaceful nuclear energy,” said Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Pakistan and Iran agreed to increase bilateral trade threefold. The current trade is worth $3 billion (₹25,000 crore), which will be increased to $10 billion (₹83,000 crore). After the talks between Sharif and Pazakhstani, the two signed a total of 12 agreements.

Editorial Perspective

The US is imposing sanctions on many countries and waging war to oppose Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Will the US now oppose Pakistan, which supports Iran ? Will it cancel the oil deal with it ? Will it impose sanctions on it ? Will it take action against terrorist organisations there ?
