Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore police have arrested Anwar Qadri, a Congress corporator from Kashmir, for allegedly providing finances to support Love Jihad. Police discovered that Qadri used to give lakhs of rupees to Muslim youths to lure Hindu girls, convert them, and then marry them.

A few days ago, two incidents of Love Jihad were reported from Indore. In connection with those cases, the police had arrested two youths named Sahil and Altaf. During interrogation, the name of Anwar Qadri, a Congress corporator from Kashmir, surfaced. Qadri offered ₹1 lakh for targeting each Hindu girl, and if that relationship culminated in marriage, an additional ₹2 lakh was given. Based on this, the police first arrested his daughter Ayesha from Delhi and later managed to trace and arrest Qadri himself.

The police received information that his daughter, Ayesha, was in Delhi making efforts in the Supreme Court to obtain anticipatory bail for her father. When this came to light, the police took her into custody. After that, the police were able to reach Anwar Qadri.
