
Haridwar (Uttarakhand) – Authorities paused the construction of a mosque in Sultanpur village, Laksar area, on Tuesday due to alleged building code violations. The required permissions for building the mosque were not taken. Hence Chief Minster Pushkar Singh Dhami stopped the illegal construction of the mosque.

1. Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrate Mayur Dixit to take immediate action. Dhami has taken action against illegal Madarasas and Mazars before this. Residents complained against the illegal construction of the masjid, which was creating tension in the community.
2. The District Magistrate of Haridwar Mayur Dixit said that, the concerned officers met the Masjid administrators and investigated the matter. The deputy was going to examine the papers and submit a report to the DM.
