Thieves targeting various temples in Raigad district arrested

• Hindu Temples Insecure !

• Pen / Panvel – In two separate incidents, individuals involved in stealing from temples in Pen and Panvel have been arrested.

• A man who stole a traditional lamp and a bell from Sai Temple in Pen has been taken into custody !

Pen – In the case of theft of a traditional lamp (samai) and a bell from the Sai Temple in Pen, the accused was arrested on an ST (State Transport) bus at Kharpada. The accused admitted to stealing from other temples across Raigad district as well, in addition to the Pen temple. His name is Mahesh Nandkumar Chainakhwa, and he had recently been released from Alibag Jail.

 

During interrogation, he confessed to stealing lamps and bells from temples in Pen, Vadkhal, Roha, Dadar Sagari, and Kolad. The court has remanded him to police custody till July 29.

Thief arrested for robbing 2 temples in Panvel!

Panvel – A man who committed thefts at Sai Temple in Taka village and Vitthal Temple in Chinchpada has been arrested by the police. His name is Rahul More. He stole ₹7,000 from the Sai Baba Temple and items worth ₹38,000 from the Vitthal Temple. A case has been registered against him in this matter.
