‘Operation Sindoor’ was launched in response to the terrorist attack

New Delhi – The Union Government informed the Parliament for the first time that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was launched by India in response to the terrorist attack carried out by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirtivardhan Singh said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha that under ‘Operation Sindoor’, India destroyed nine terrorist camps of Pakistan on 7thMay 2025. After this, Pakistan tried to target Indian military bases and civilians, but India retaliated strongly. The Pakistani army suffered heavy losses. On 10thMay, the Director General of Military Operations of Pakistan contacted the Director General of Military Operations of India and requested that the operation be halted. Later on the same day, an agreement on a ceasefire was signed.
