66 Naxals surrender in a single day in Chhattisgarh

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – On one single day in the State of Chhattisgarh, 66 Naxals surrenderd simultaneously. On the 24th of July Naxals laid down their arms in many districts. They include 25 Naxals in Bijapur, 8 in Narayanpur, 5 in Sukma, 15 in Dantewada, and 13 in Kanker. These 66 Naxals together had a bounty of 1 crore 30 lakhs on them. It was specially seen that among the 66 Naxals who surrendered, a large number were women Naxalites .

1. The Chhattisgarh Government and the Security agencies have had a joint operation against the Naxalites. Till now in 2025 more than a 1000 Naxalites have surrendered. Between 2024-2025 more than 500 Naxals have killed in the anti-naxal operations.

2. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has clearly stated that the Naxalites who do not surrender, will not be shown any mercy. The date, 31st of March 2026, has been declared for ending Naxalism in India completely.
