New Delhi – “India must be understood and presented in the right perspective. Until now, the history taught to us was written through a Western lens; one in which India’s essence had no place. Though India exists on the world map, its worldview has been excluded from global discourse. Even today, our textbooks highlight Japan and China, but not India,” said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak, Param Pujya Dr Mohanji Bhagwat, while addressing a program in Delhi.

He welcomed and endorsed the ongoing changes in school curricula, stating that these revisions aim to correct long-standing distortions. In recent months, false narratives such as the “Aryan Invasion Theory” have been removed from textbooks, while greater emphasis is now placed on the contributions of Indian kings. Similarly, the glorification of the Mughals is being replaced with an honest portrayal of their cruel history.

“As Western thought fails, Indian values will lead the world !” – Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak

1.The world today needs a new direction; one that can only be found through Indian thought and values.

2.Materialism has led to growing unrest and conflict globally. For over 2,000 years, Western ideologies have attempted to provide fulfilment to humanity, but these efforts have ultimately failed. As a result, the world now looks to India with hope.

3.Scientific advancement has brought greater material comfort, but not peace. Poverty, exploitation, and mental stress have only increased.

4.India is more than just a geographical entity. Indian philosophy envisions holistic well-being and sees life through the lens of the four Purusharthas (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).

5.It was because of this dharma-centric life that India once stood as the richest and most prosperous nation in the world. We must now reorient both ourselves and our nation with this perspective in mind.

6.People must reflect on whether they are truly living by the Indian worldview in their daily lives.
