UP State administration removes 105-year-old illegal tomb in Siddharthnagar

  

Siddharthnagar (Uttar Pradesh) – The 105-year-old tomb of ‘Fagu Shah’ was demolished by the administration using a bulldozer. The tomb was standing on the ‘Charagaah’ (land reserved for animal grazing) land. A fair used to be held here every Thursday, in which people of both Hindu and Muslim communities offered chadars.

On June 26^th, 2025, former BJP MLA had announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa here. After that, the administration banned the fair and offering of chadars, and also ordered the removal of this illegal tomb.

• An illegal tomb was standing for as long as 105 years. This is shameful for the previous ruling leaders across parties and also for the administration.

• One cannot imagine how many more such illegal tombs exist in the country. All the Governments need to pay attention to this and take action.
