Hindu Family Attacked by Muslim Mob, Threatened with Life

Raipur, Chhattisgarh – The arguments started over throwing trash in the Bhavana Nagar area turned violent. A hardened criminal named Yasin Sheikh, with a mob of 70-80 Muslims, attacked the family of Rajesh Tiwari. They brutally beat up Rajesh Tiwari and his family members and threatened to kill them.

1. Yasin Sheikh tried to enter the house of Rajesh Tiwari along with his accomplices. They broke open the door with an axe. Tiwari and his son got scared and ran towards their terrace, but they saw that armed Muslims were standing even on the neighbour’s terrace. They had sticks, iron rods, knives and other weapons.

2. The mob brutally beat up Rajesh Tiwari and broke his hand. Tiwari’s son and his friends were also thrashed.

3. Rajesh Tiwari has filed a complaint with the Police, and the Police have arrested some of them, including Yasin Sheikh, Irfan Siddiqui, Anas Atif and Riyaz Agrawal; but many of the assailants are absconding.

4. Bajrang Dal has strongly condemned the incident and demanded severe action against the guilty.
