New Strategy by Leftist Organizations to Evade the Clutches of the Public Security Act !

New organizations posing as social activists operating in Maharashtra !

Mumbai, July 13 – To avoid getting caught in the net of the upcoming Special Public Security Act in Maharashtra, leftist organizations have devised a new strategy. Members of radical leftist groups are now planning to operate through organizations that appear to work on social or national issues—such as prohibition, addiction recovery, and awareness about violence against women. ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ has received reliable information that these so-called social organizations are being used as fronts.

Over the past few months, several such new organizations have been set up in Maharashtra, and they have already started conducting various social initiatives. This strategy has been designed by radical leftist groups to escape the implications of the Public Security Act.

In 2024, during the monsoon session of the Legislature, the Maharashtra Special Public Security Bill 2024 was introduced. It was referred to a Joint Review Committee, and since then, radical leftist groups have begun taking steps to avoid prosecution under the new law.

The banned organization Kabir Kala Manch, already outlawed in states like Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha, is also active in Maharashtra. In an effort to avoid a similar ban in Maharashtra—or arrest in case of such a ban—many activists from Kabir Kala Manch have infiltrated these newly formed social organizations.

During the Congress government’s tenure, the names of several such organizations, including Kabir Kala Manch and other Naxalite-affiliated groups, were forwarded to the central government. Activists from those groups are also currently working under the guise of these social bodies. Some of these organizations are registered, while others are not. It is imperative for the state intelligence department to investigate this matter.
