In Europe, 2,300 people died due to 10 days of extreme heat : Research claims

London (UK) – An estimated 2,300 people have died in 12 European cities,scientists have claimed, based on their analysis. This research is based on a 10-day heat wave period that ended on July 2. During which large parts of Western Europe were hit by intense heat waves.

1. Scientists at ‘Imperial College London’ and ‘The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine’ conducted this research based on heat wave. According to their study, 1,500 of these 2,300 deaths are directly related to climate change. Climate change made heat waves in Europe more severe.

2. The study included 12 European cities, including Barcelona, Madrid, London, Milan etc. Especially most parts of Western Europe experienced extreme heat. Spain witnessed temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, whereas France saw wildfire incidents.

3. The European Union’s ‘Copernicus Climate Change Service’ said in its monthly newsletter that June 2025 was the third hottest month in history. Western Europe experienced the hottest month ever, with parts of the country experiencing extreme heat waves.

Editorial Perspective

It has to be accepted that this kind of change in the environment is from the last few decades and is due to science. It is a fact that science does not yet have a concrete solution on this. Will the so-called scientists accept the folly of science ?
