The Poor are increasing in numbers, but the wealth is centralised in the hands of few people : Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Nagpur, Maharashtra – Though the Nation is progressing economically, still the common people are not getting the benefit, that is the worry. Slowly the number of poor is increasing and the money is centred in the hands of a few wealthy people. This is not a healthy condition for the country. Distribution of wealth is necessary.  Rural area should be developed and creation of employment opportunities in the rural area is the true foundation our economy. This is the statement made by Nitin Gadkari Minister of Road Transport and Highway on the 5th July in an event here.

The Government has earned ₹55,000 crore through road Tax

Nitin Gadkri further added there is a need for decentralisation of wealth, and many changes have happened in that direction. The senior BJP leader praised former prime ministers PV Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh for introducing liberal economic policies but warned against unchecked concentration of wealth. “We have to be worried about it,” My department does not have any shortage of funds. We need capable people to complete the projects. Presently road tax is giving an income of ₹55000 crore and in the next 2 years the income will increase approximately by ₹1.4 crore. If this income is encashed it will have a capability of making an investment of ₹12,00,000 crore.
