Hezbollah flags raised during Muharram procession in Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) !

Iranian flag and portrait of Ayatollah Khamenei also displayed !

Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir): On July 4^th , during a Muharram procession in Srinagar, flags of Hezbollah (the jihadi terrorist organization based in Lebanon), Iran, and Palestine were raised. Alongside these, portraits of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian military officers killed in Israeli strikes were also displayed. Thousands of Shia Muslims participated in this procession.

The procession began at Guru Bazar, moved via Maulana Azad Road and Jahangir Chowk, and concluded at Dalgate. Earlier, the administration and police had removed these controversial flags from public areas; however, they reappeared during the procession. Slogans in support of Iran were also raised.

Swords brandished publicly during Muharram procession in Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh); 4 arrested

In Attarbujurg village of Lakhimpur Kheri district (Uttar Pradesh), during a pre-Muharram procession, some Muslim youths waved swords in full view of the police. When citizens recorded the incident on video and circulated it on social media, four individuals were arrested. (If the video had not gone viral on social media, would the police have behaved like Gandhi’s three monkeys ? When swords were openly brandished, the police stood inactive. The government must take strict action against these negligent officers to set an example for others ! – Editor)
