Loni Kalbhor Police finally remove controversial Iranian flags and Khamenei’s banners

Iranian flags and Khamenei’s banners put up in Loni (Pune)

Pune – The Iranian flags and banners of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were put up at Kadamwakvasti in the Loni station area on the Pune-Solapur National Highway. The incident came to light on the afternoon of June 29th, after a related video was circulated on social media. The incident angered the pro-Hindu organizations and they became aggressive. Taking note of this, the Loni Kalbhor Police removed these banners and flags on June 30th. The Police are investigating who put up these banners and flags.

Editorial Perspective

While on one hand the threat of international infiltration in the country is increasing, on the other hand the flags of an Islamic country and the banners of its leader are being put up on Indian soil and the Police get to know about it the next day. This raises questions about the efficiency of the Police force. It should be investigated if there is any conspiracy behind this.
