Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) – In the case of using adulterated ghee to prepare laddu prasad at the Tirumala Tirupati temple, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informed the Andhra Pradesh High Court that Pomil Jain and Vipin Jain, directors of Bholebaba Dairy, supplied 60 lakh kilograms of adulterated ghee, committing a fraud worth ₹240 crore.

The CBI, under the supervision of its director, is investigating the matter through a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The SIT told the High Court that instead of pure cow ghee, palm oil mixed with chemicals was being supplied in the name of ghee. This fake ghee was transported from Uttarakhand in tankers and delivered to the temple through AR Dairy and Vaishnavi Dairy, who were listed as “official contractors” on paper, while Bholebaba Dairy operated from behind the scenes.

Fake ghee supplied to several temples !

The CBI investigation team revealed that this network extended beyond Tirumala. Six major temples in Andhra Pradesh were also receiving the same adulterated ghee. These include:

●      Kanipakam Temple

●      Srikalahasti Temple

●      Dwaraka Tirumala Temple

●      Penuganchiprolu Tirupatamma Ammavaru Temple

●      Srisailam Temple

●      Kanaka Durga Temple (Vijayawada)

Details submitted by the investigation team to the court:

1. It is alleged that AR Dairy and Vaishnavi Dairy directors received a commission of ₹3 per kilogram for helping Bholebaba supply the fake ghee.

2. During the investigation, it was found that directors of Bholebaba Dairy were also serving as directors in Vaishnavi Dairy during the time of the scam.

3. The accused and their representatives were threatening witnesses, and multiple criminal cases have been registered in this regard.

4. During the tenure of the YSR Congress government, bribes were allegedly paid to temple officials to secure the ghee supply tender.

  • Please note the ill effects of temples under government administration ! Hindus should unite to ensure temples remain in the hands of devotees !
  • There must now be a law to impose the death penalty even on those committing financial fraud – only then will corruption in the country stop !
