A foreign national arrested for smuggling cocaine worth ₹ 11.39 crore

Incident at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International airport, Mumbai

Mumbai – A foreign national from Ivory Coast, West Africa, was arrested for smuggling cocaine worth ₹11.39 crore into India. The action was taken by officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. His name is Ane Charles Joselin Kouame. He had concealed the cocaine-stuffed capsules by ingesting them. A large-scale racket behind the smuggling is suspected to be behind this.

Editorial Perspective

It is unfortunate that Mumbai airport is becoming known for smuggling rather than international travel.
