
Hyderabad (Telangana) – 15 people were arrested in Hyderabad on June 18th, 2025, for circulating obscene videos related to child sexual abuse on social media. The accused include an engineer who passed out from IIT Kharagpur and is currently working in a software company in Hyderabad. The obscene videos circulated by these accused depict several foreign girls.
1. According to Shikha Goyal, Director of the State Child Protection Bureau, online users are spreading content related to child sexual abuse through the app. It is being investigated whether these accused are part of an international gang.
2. The Police raided Hyderabad, Yaddrigutta, Warangal, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Jagaddigutta simultaneously and arrested 15 people.

3. Shikha Goyal informed that in the last 4 months, 294 cases have been registered and 110 people have been arrested.
4. This gang also targeted tribal women. They would bring women from remote areas to the city and sell them.

5. During the investigation into this case, a female victim contacted the Police and told she was sold to a brothel in Madhya Pradesh for Rs 1.10 lakh. She managed to escape and returned home last month.
6. Some Police personnel are also involved in this gang.
